“I Want to Know What Love Is” is one of the most powerful rock ballads ever recorded — a song that blends raw emotion with epic, cinematic production.

Lou Gramm’s vocals are the soul of the track, full of longing, vulnerability, and that aching desire for something deeper.

The gentle opening slowly rises into a massive, goosebump-inducing chorus backed by the New Jersey Mass Choir, turning the song into a spiritual experience.

The mix of soft rock, gospel warmth, and heartfelt lyrics makes it timeless. It’s not just a love song — it’s a confession, a prayer, and an anthem of hope.
