They Don’t Really Care About Us” by Michael Jackson (1995)

They Don't Care About Us is more than a song — it’s a loud, uncompromising statement against injustice, told through global pop music.

Michael Jackson fearlessly addresses racism, brutality, and social neglect, delivering one of his most powerful humanitarian messages.

The Brazil-version video connected it to real places and real people — and in doing so gave a voice to communities often ignored. In Rio de Janeiro, where social inequality and systemic neglect are deeply felt, that visibility mattered deeply.

Decades later, the track remains a protest anthem, a cultural bridge, and a reminder that music can be a force for truth and empathy.
