"A lovely little site. We stayed here twice within a week, once on the way south and on the way back. It’s a great location, just off the A1, and therefore there is road noise, but nothing excessive. There is a small dog walk on site, but a longer one, to Durham, just out of the main gate. The facilities are first class, as you would expect, and the wardens very friendly." - mrscthe3rd, website review
Dramatically set on its 70-foot rocky peninsula in a meandering bend of the River Wear, Durham is steeped in history and one of the most picturesque cities in the UK. Whether you fancy a wander to take in the sense of days gone by, or a bite to eat in the many local restaurants, the panoramic views from every vantage point make the city a holiday destination not to be missed. Visit camc.com/uk-holidays to find out more about the site and book a pitch for later this year
