“Food is my way of caring. It’s my gift. If someone is hungry - I can’t turn them away. Not ever.”- Pam. Across London, hunger and food insecurity are increasing as more people turn to food clubs for support. Through it all, Jose and Pam are the kind hands their community rely on. Supported by City Harvest, with funding from Comic Relief and Sainsbury's, they ensure everyone has access to a good meal, from distributing food to cooking for those who need it most. Since 2021, Jose has seen the impact of food insecurity up close while delivering food across London. Every drop‑off becomes a moment of connection, as his kindness and positivity brighten the community around him. Pam is City Harvest’s longest‑serving volunteer, affectionately known as “the feeder”. After a lifetime of caring for others, from nursing soldiers at the Royal Hospital Chelsea to feeding families from her own kitchen, she now runs three community hubs, offering hot meals, food parcels, conversation and comfort to anyone who needs it. With your support, Comic Relief and @sainsburys can continue funding vital organisations like @cityharvestlondon, and celebrating the remarkable people behind them, like Jose and Pam. Together, they’re tackling hunger, preventing good food from going to waste, and delivering meals to more than 350 charities and community projects across London. Please donate today. ❤️ #ComicRelief #RedNoseDay
