Adel Taarabt. Your legacy will live on forever. Retired from the beautiful game, but the way he glamourised it with tek and aesthetic deserves a garden of flowers. That baselayer and black glove combo will hang high in the Streets Won’t Forget museum. Forget about his talent for just one second. This is one of the most iconic looks we have ever seen in football. Way before Drake released Iceman, this baller was moving the coldest in West London. Froze up defenders, put them in body bags and had the gloves on to dispose of any evidence. How can you look like you’re on a glide yet glide this elegantly on the pitch? Cole Palmer brought the cold celebration to the league, but Taarabt sent shivers down his opponents’ spines. Used all of his FC points on accessories, but you can do that when your skill points are already on 99. Balled so smokey, he had shisha lounge owners turning over the coal each time he nutmegged another defender. The sport won’t be the same without Adel. We’ll never find someone like you again. #football #qpr #adeltaarabt #taarabt
