The Oregon Ducks celebrate Drew Cowley's #15 walk-off single. The Oregon Ducks beat Oral Roberts Golden Eagles after a historic comeback 9-8 in the first game of the NCAA Eugene Super Regional at PK Park Friday, June 9, 2023, in Eugene, Ore. Oregon gets its first win of a best-of-three series and becomes the first team out of 97 in the Super Regional history to win after trailing 8-0. After being down in the top of the third inning, the first two hits for Oregon were solo home runs by Jacob Walsh and Bennett Thompson, making it 8-2. Bennett Thompson hit a three-run home run in the next inning and erased the deficit to three. Drew Smith's solo home run in the sixth inning made it 8-6. Drew Cowley's and Tanner Smith's singles helped Oregon tie the game in the seventh inning. Drew Cowley hit a walk-off single in the ninth inning and completed the comeback. Oregon looks to win one more game Saturday at 6:00 p.m. for a trip to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb., for the first time since 1954.
