The 2019 Western Conference Semifinals against Houston tested the Warriors in every way. Six games of tight scores, physical defense, and constant adjustments. The Rockets pushed hard on their home floor and forced overtime once. Kevin Durant went down with a calf injury in Game 5, leaving the group short-handed heading into a decisive road game.

In Game 6 at Toyota Center, Stephen Curry started the night with nothing. Zero points through the first half. Missed shots, limited minutes because of fouls, and a scoreless 12 minutes while the game stayed tied at 57. Klay Thompson kept them afloat with 21 points before the break. The second half began the same way for a stretch—still searching for rhythm against a Rockets defense that had made life difficult all series.
Then the game flipped. Curry scored 33 points after halftime. He made nine of his 15 second-half shots, including four threes, and went a perfect 11-for-11 at the free-throw line. Twenty-three of those points came in the fourth quarter alone. He attacked the paint, relocated for open looks, and converted late free throws while the Rockets tried to close the gap.
