## Caption

Today is LGBTQ Domestic Violence Awareness Day, started by our fellow Queensland police officer, Ben Bjarnesen.

All Victorians have a right to live free from violence, but we know for many LGBTIQ people, this is not a reality.

We also know that LGBTIQ community members face additional barriers to reporting family and intimate-partner violence, and victims remain largely invisible.

LGBTIQ victims of family violence deserve to be #SeenAndBelieved
