## Caption

‘Twas the night before Christmas and up in the air,
.
The police chopper was flying with hardly a care.
.
All of the crooks were locked up in their cells,
.
While the good people hoped to hear Christmas bells.
.
When all of a sudden, a bright flash of light.
.
Nope, Air495 crew weren’t done for the night.
.
From Frankston to Toorak, from here and to there,
.
The strange glowing light, it zipped through the air.
.
The chopper gave chase, it’s engines were heaving,
.
But the strange glowing light kept dodging and weaving.
.
The crew they were led on a swift merry dance.
.
Could it be Old Saint Nick? No way! Not a chance.
.
When all of a sudden the lights stopped and did stutter.
.
And on the roof of HQ a sleigh it did clutter.
.
And a large jolly old man waved to the crew,
.
Gave a thumbs up and had one last delivery to do.
.
It was words that he spoke, a gift from the heart,
.
Thanking us for all staying safe by keeping apart.
.
Small battles we’d won and with the holidays here,
.
Spend it safe with your loved ones and those that are dear.
.
And with that he was off like the proverbial shot.
.
The crew watched in awe ‘til he was a dot.
.
A tale they did tell, the crew of Air495,
.
How the spirit of Christmas was well and truly alive.
