Today is International Day of Sign Languages which aims to support and protect the linguistic and cultural diversity of all people who are deaf and other sign language users.

So we thought we would share the story of our very own Constable Joshua Durdin, who learnt to communicate in Auslan from his parents who are both deaf.

We would like to also take this opportunity to thank all AUSLAN interpreters who have worked tirelessly in press conference, in what has been a very challenging 2020.
