The Victoria Police Museum today unveiled its latest exhibition which celebrates the role of female police members working in a variety of roles and locations. 
Opened today, Behind the Badge: Women of Victoria Police features the photographic portraits and personal stories of 10 women currently serving in Victoria Police. 
Victoria Police Museum Public Program Curator Kate Spinks said the exhibition would highlight the passion, commitment and achievements of female police and protective service officers of all ages. “The exhibition captures the person behind the badge and gives us an insight into the diverse experiences, both personal and professional, of these Victoria Police members,” Ms Spinks said. “It’s a rare opportunity to take a moment to learn about these dedicated members who risk their lives to keep our communities safe. “They have very interesting stories to tell. But whilst each have had their own unique journey in their career, all share a deep commitment and passion for the job.” With over 3500 women employed by Victoria Police in sworn roles alone, the exhibition highlights the breadth of opportunities for women seeking a career in policing. 
Behind the Badge: Women of Victoria Police will be open on weekdays from 10am until 4pm. 
The Victoria Police Museum is located at the World Trade Centre, Mezzanine Level, 637 Flinders Street.
