Here’s the thing 👇

I don’t teach spot shooting much at. Why?

In basketball, players learn and improve based on interactions with their environment, rather than isolated drills like spot shooting.

I strive to encourage adaptability and creativity, essential for real-game situations where conditions are constantly changing.

Differential learning, on the other hand, emphasizes the variation in practice conditions rather than repetitive practice of the same skill.

By intentionally changing footwork with every shot, you’re applying principles of differential learning.

(Often times we switch position and add other challenges instead of standing in one spot like this demo btw)

This method helps players:
-Adaptability
-Motor Learning
-Error Correction

If you want to know more about this evidence-based practice, join my newsletter where I go into more detail (link in bio).
