In Maine, lifeguard and Scarborough Beach Park Director, Greg Wilfert, said he was swimming with a yellow rescue can in the water when a great white shark grabbed the device and pulled him underwater. Wilfert said he was pulled about 5 feet below the surface before freeing himself from the strap and swimming back to shore.
