There was a boy who was considered to be so foolish that whenever someone give him a coin of larger and smaller denomination and ask him to pick up just one, he would always pick up the one of smaller denomination.

People would laugh at his foolishness.

Once a man asked this boy, “When you have the option to choose the bigger coin, why do you always choose the smaller one?”

The boy smiled and said, “The day I start picking up the larger denomination coin, they would stop offering me any coin.”

Who is foolish in this case?

The boy, or the people who thought that he was foolish.
