Latinos Stand-Up! - The Recap

After an exhaustive, nation-wide search, 6 finalists were chosen from hundreds of submissions. The chosen 6 battled it out and shut down the Chelsea Music Hall last Friday. Even though all 6 contestants brought their A Game, 2 of the comedians came out on top.

In an unprecedented move, 2 winners, Alex Carabaño and Mark Viera, were chosen. They will be headed to Los Angeles to film a special Entre Nos that will air next year.

An extra special shout out goes to HBO Latino for believing in and shining a much needed spotlight on Latino comedic talent. We could not have had a better partner for this Latinos Stand-Up! initiative. This is a game-changer for young Latinos in comedy. Much love also goes out to the brilliant Gina Brillon and Angelo Lozada. Not to mention the incomparable Darlenis Duran who worked her magic to make it happen.
