Let’s talk about the 3rd trimester! While I absolutely LOVED my pregnancy journey overall, I remember Week 36 coming through the door with a vengeance. There were many moments where I struggled with unanticipated emotional and physical symptoms. #ad During this time, it was the most weight I’d ever gained, and although I always kept a smile, my mind and body were TIRED.

From back pain, to leg cramping, and interrupted sleep, I was counting down the days until I could finally meet GiGi and no longer had to share my body.  I also felt waves of anxiety after going into false labor around this time and finding out my fluid levels were low. 

The craziest part about all of this is that the people closest to me had no idea! I was so used to putting on a smile and exuding optimism, that I didn’t even know how to be vulnerable about my struggles. I also felt guilty at times for even complaining, because I knew that I was carrying the blessing that I prayed for, so this was just something I should suck up and deal with….right? 

WRONG! Pregnancy impacts us all so differently, and we need an outlet. One thing that really helped me was connecting with other parents and experts through Gerber's Parent Talk. Being able to share my experiences and hear from others who were going through similar things made me feel less alone and more supported. I just wrote a new blog post all about my 36th week!
