🇬🇧 After 11 months, the male Apistogramma agazzissi double red passed away.

He had been lethargic for a few weeks, eating at a slow pace and everything seemed to be happening in slow motion, which was unfortunate.

As I observed him during his final moments, I started implementing the knowledge gained from the fish diseases book by dr_pez_hguti, his talks, and the Ichthyopathology course by entreescamas in pzesalcorcon.

I took samples of the operculum, digestive system, gills, and scrapings of scales, and examined them under a microscope.

Despite my lack of experience, I didn’t find any signs of movement or significant changes in color.

To be honest, performing this analysis proved to be incredibly fascinating!

I believe it was simply the end of the road for the poor guy. I truly enjoyed the time I spent with him this year... It’s just one of the downsides of this extraordinary hobby.
