Mother’s Day has been a mix of emotions over the years.

I’m over the moon grateful for my mom. She’s always been an awesome role model, and has loved me through all of my ups and downs. (Swipe to see her beautiful face!)

There have been seasons where I wanted so desperately to be a mom but it just wasn’t happening.

There was a time when I had to grieve the fact that maybe being a mom wasn’t in God’s plan for me. And I had to learn that He alone was enough for me.

Then the seasons changed and we were surprised with pregnancy during an adoption. Having a biological child while at the same time walking through the process to adopt a child that a mom couldn’t keep is quite the mix of emotions.

We were over the moon to become parents while at the same time recognizing that one of our precious little gifts was because of a trauma, a baby not able to be with her biological mother.

The second time we started an adoption process, I found out 3 days later that I was pregnant again.

While we were so elated to know that we would have 4 kids, we were also overwhelmed to learn that we would have 4 kids within 4 years of age.

However this day is hitting your emotional buttons, know that it’s a season and seasons change. Time is healing and God is truly enough no matter where your heart is in this moment.
