There was a Daddy Daughter Dance at churchprojectkids last night which gave Zadok and I a little date night, too!

In this season of life when everything feels crazy busy All. The. Time... it can be hard to carve out intentional quality time with the kids.

So we’re super thankful when events like this come along to help us make each of the kids feel special, seen and heard.

And honestly, you don’t need big dances or a super planned-out night to make the biggest impact on your kids.

Zadok simply wanted to eat chickfila in a parked car so he could sit in the front and talk with me. That was his only request.

We went bowling and played some games after, but the conversation and giggles we had during that meal were definitely the best part.

That’s where he asked tough questions, told me how he felt about a few difficult things and felt most comfortable being himself.

So if your time with your kids is at a fancy event or simply to the drive-thru, just be intentional about the time and make it count. You’ll both treasure it.
