## Caption

Here’s a little #throwbackthursday to my final dive when I won my first national title on the 10 meter platform WAY back in 1997.

It was a million degrees, we were all sunburned and 10 meter was super windy which can make you extra nervous. This is how you trauma bond with teammates and competitors, lol.

Our team had suffered a great lost just a couple months prior to this, a teammate and one of our favorite people, Hilary Grivich.

That summer I began to learn what it meant to have purpose bigger than yourself.
