## Caption

When we discovered ‘The Rona’ was our family Christmas gift for 2020, two of our four kids were pretty upset that extended family wouldn’t be here on Christmas Day.

But they’ve since warmed up to the idea of having a “second Christmas” with the rest of the family next week.

It’s also helpful for us to emphasize that Christmas isn’t about the day, the gifts, or where we celebrate, but rather it’s all about celebrating who Jesus is and what He’s already done for us.

We know Christmas isn’t about being naughty or nice or even being sick or healthy.

Christmas is about understanding how God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).

Jesus didn’t come here to give His life for us because we were “nice” or “good.” He actually came to die for us while we were still sinning against Him, while we were still His enemies (Romans 5:9-11).

Even with ‘The Rona’, not being able to taste or smell, and not being able to spend Christmas with our entire family, we will still celebrate.

We will still give thanks to our Savior who loves us regardless of where we come from or what we’ve done because His blood that was shed is enough to justify and redeem ALL who choose to trust and follow Him.
