My kids thought it was weird that I wanted them to point to their birth countries on this rug.

Because they don’t know any different. Their family is made from three countries and we don’t all match. That’s normal to them.
.
We think it’s beautiful that we each have uniques qualities and skin tones. We’re teaching our kids that it’s not bad to be different because that’s how God makes you shine the brightest.
.
We don’t just teach them, we SHOW them that love is not skin deep or as thick as blood. Love is So. Much. More.
.
Love is not a feeling based on how we look or how good we are. Love is a verb, it’s an action. And it’s the greatest gift we can have and GIVE here on earth.
