I don’t like to look at myself in the mirror. In fact it’s not unusual for me to leave the house without a second glance. And I have a hard time looking at myself in pictures without cringing.

It’s no secret I’m always taking pictures of my kids. Well, yesterday my girls took this picture of me. This is how they see me. .
It gets me wondering what else they see.
.
I hope they see in me a Mom who loves them deeply, protects them fiercely, laughs with them often, disciplines them wisely, and encourages them daily.

From now on when I look in the mirror, I hope I can look past all of my insecurities and see myself that way, too.
