In a little more than 24 hrs. We’ll be heading back to Ethiopia.

Our daughter’s bag is already packed. Actually, I never unpacked it after the last trip in January. It was too hard, and I held hope that we would be going back soon.
.
As we pulled out her suitcase this morning, I was worried it would smell funky from 6+ weeks of just sitting there. I was fully prepared to wash everything again, reorganize and repack. But lo and behold when we unzipped that bag, the sweet scent of brand new baby diapers filled our nostrils. .
As silly as it sounds, I almost broke down in tears. That God would sustain her little clothes and blankets carries the weight and is a reminder that He sustained us through that time as well.

Tomorrow as we make our way back across the world to a country so vastly different from ours, I have confidence that it is time for God to finish what He started so many years ago. He is redeeming our daughter’s story and ours, too.
