Every day after practice I go through all of the actions of all my dives several times, even if I did them in the workout. I think about the actions we’ve been working on. I try to see, feel and hear in my mind what I would as I’m diving. Regardless of how practice went or how I’m feeling, I do this every day. Every single day.

In life each new day brings about new challenges. Maybe it’s a fire alarm in the middle of practice so you have to evacuate the pool. Or maybe it’s yet another holdup in your adoption. It’s usually the things that are out of our control that are the hardest to handle.

Every day there is a reason to want to give in, quit or curl up and let the world pass you by.
.
None of those answers fixes the problem, though. None of those choices will help you overcome and get through the obstacle you’re facing.

But every day you can choose to dig your heels in, lift your eyes to Jesus and stand firm. Some days that is our only choice. If we do this every day, not only will we not lose ground, but we will find that God is growing us and equipping us even when we feel like we are just standing still.
