Balance is elusive. Life is full of constantly moving parts and unexpected twists and turns. .
Some days we balance and juggle it all like super heroes, making it look easy, and it might even feel easy. But then there are other days where the floor is pulled out from beneath us, sending us and everything we’re trying to do crashing to the ground in one big heap. .
Staring up from the bottom of failure or disappointment can be disheartening and overwhelming. It can look so very impossible to get back up again, let alone to get farther than you were before the collapse. It’s a melancholy and oppressive place that can make you want to give up, quit and just stay in the darkness, alone.
.
But if I have learned anything throughout my diving career and my life, it is this…
.
Every failure, every disappointment, every setback, every challenge WILL make you better, stronger, wiser and actually increase your hope and determination taking you beyond where you previously were… IF you don’t give up.
.
It takes a lot of guts to stand back up and start over again. But it is worth it. .
