In this review we break down the HOKA ORA Recovery Slide 3 — the slide you reach for the second the running shoes come off. Built on the platform of HOKA's original ORA Slide, version 3 adds four air flow channels through the upper for noticeably better breathability, so your feet cool and dry faster than they would in a solid foam slide. Underneath, dual-density geometry pairs soft and firm foam to cradle the foot with cushion that doesn't bottom out, while an early-stage Meta-Rocker smooths each step so tired legs aren't fighting the transition. The midsole and footbed use injection-molded sugarcane EVA, a bio-based material that drops the environmental footprint, and HOKA's J-Frame™ helps limit excessive inward roll without overcorrecting your gait.
