GORUCK Mackall 45 Shoe Review - Very Capable Rucking Shoe

In this review, we break down the GORUCK Mackall 45 — a rucking shoe built to a high testing standard. The upper is top-of-the-line pigskin nubuck suede rooted in golden-era performance trainers — it breaks in supple and looks better a year in than it does on day one — reinforced with double-stitched toe and heel caps, a scuff guard, and micro-perforations across the vamp for airflow in real heat.

Underneath sits GORUCK's Special Forces rucking chassis: a high-traction triple-compound outsole and a neutral last that keeps you aligned heel to toe under load. At 12.6 oz per shoe, it's light enough that you can ruck twelve miles in the morning, train in the afternoon, and wear them to dinner without changing.
