In this review we break down the Teva Aventrail R2T — the "Road to Trail" evolution of Teva's trail-running sandal, and a rare v2 that's both lighter and cheaper than what came before. Teva stripped out the original Aventrail's nylon plate and swapped HYPER-COMF for LITE-COMF foam, dropping roughly 32% of the weight (about 223g in a men's 9) while making the ride firmer, more responsive, and more stable. 

The W Strapping System uses three adjustable straps — two across the forefoot, one around the heel — over a soft padded mesh that protects your foot and adds just enough structure. Underneath, a Spider Rubber® outsole with 3.5mm lugs delivers legitimate traction on gravel, dirt, and wet rock. It drains and dries fast, works with or without socks, and uses recycled materials. At $120, it's the kind of thing that can genuinely replace two pairs of summer shoes: run it, hike it, hit the water in it, then wear it the rest of the day.
