Rossignol Vercors Trail Running Shoe Review - 119-year-old ski brand just made a legit trail shoe

Rossignol has been building mountain gear since 1907, and this isn't a novelty entry: the Vercors runs an E+FOAM midsole for protective, reactive cushioning with balanced energy return, backed by a rock-plate insert that shields against sharp terrain without deadening the ride.

The Duragrip Ultra outsole uses an engineered 4mm lug pattern shaped for traction, braking, and stability, biting into loose dirt, wet roots, and hardpack. Up top, the breathable Dragonfly Light upper locks your foot down while allowing natural swell over long miles. At ~290g with a 6mm drop and 32mm stack, it's built for steady rhythm on daily training runs, mountain adventures, and long days out.

What we get into:
✅ The E+FOAM midsole — cushion, rebound & long-distance efficiency
✅ Rock-plate protection without a stiff, dead ride
✅ Duragrip Ultra 4mm lugs — traction, braking & stability on mixed terrain
✅ Stack, drop & weight — how the ride really feels
✅ Fit & sizing notes (toe box runs precise — worth a try-on)
✅ Value at $160 and who this shoe is really for
