Join us in celebrating Jackie Downing, who recently achieved an impressive milestone of 18 gallons of blood donated! 👏🏼

“I started giving blood at 18, because my older brother was a donor and I wanted to be like him,” Jackie said. “A couple of years later, we spent four hours in line together at a Christmas Eve ‘Save a Life Sunday’ blood drive waiting to donate. It was a very special time. I keep coming back because I can.”

Jackie’s dedication to blood donation only grew stronger when she needed transfusions herself after experiencing a serious car accident in her 20s. Receiving someone else’s blood made the impact of donors feel deeply personal.

We're so grateful to blood donors like Jackie who dedicate themselves to helping others in need. ❤️
