Brenda Crawley has spent nearly two decades giving back to military families by volunteering. Her Red Cross journey began in Virginia while her husband served in the U.S. Navy. Looking for a way to stay engaged with the military community, Brenda joined our mission and never looked back.

Today, Brenda serves as the outreach lead for our Service to the Armed Forces team at the TXGulfCoastRedCross region, helping connect military, veteran, and community families with vital resources. She says the smiles on families’ faces make every effort worthwhile.

"Those smiles stay with you,” Brenda said. “They remind you why you do this. Giving back brings joy into my life.”

Brenda’s passion is deeply personal. Her husband served on active duty, and her daughter is currently stationed at Fort Lewis. They remain top of mind in the work she does every day.

Brenda’s efforts have built impactful partnerships with groups like Operation Homefront and Navy Federal Credit Union. Through these collaborations, Brenda helped more than 150 families like hers get ready for the back-to-school season.

“We take care of our heroes from the minute they sign their contracts and through their veteran lives,” Brenda said. “It’s 365 days a year. Period.”

We’re grateful for Brenda’s dedication to our heroes and their families and the difference she makes in their lives every day. ❤️
