Imagine a beach day turning into a rescue mission. That's exactly what happened to this father-son duo.

Seventeen-year-old Brandon noticed a man struggling in the ocean and quickly alerted his dad. Together, they sprang into action and pulled the man to safety.

“When you see someone in danger, you don’t think — you just act,” said his dad, Brandon Kerrington Williams. “That moment changed everything for us.”

After calling 911, Brandon and his dad stayed with the man, monitoring his breathing until first responders arrived. Thanks to their courage and quick thinking, he survived.

The pair was honored by the RedCrossNCFL with a Certificate of Extraordinary Personal Action. Their story is a powerful reminder of what it means to be prepared and act with compassion when it matters most.
