Don’t be the reason your celebration turns into a disaster. If fireworks are part of your 4th of July plans, keep it safe, fun and smart by following these tips:

• Always follow the instructions on the packaging.
• Keep a supply of water nearby.
• Light only one firework at a time and never attempt to relight a “dud.”
• Keep them away from small children, pets, vehicles, and any flammable materials.
