It might feel like like spring should here, but in Mongolia, people may face extreme cold during this time of year.

Last March, over 4.7 million animals died during extreme cold. Many herding families relied on these animals as livestock, and as a result, food prices went up and so did food insecurity.

The Mongolian Red Cross provided cash assistance, animal care kits, food packages, and other aid to help people. Since then, they've continued to follow up with herding families to make sure they have what they need.
