When life gives you a grandma with a lemon tree, you set up a lemonade stand to help others! 🍋

Chelsea and her younger brother, Kevin, decided to make homemade lemonade to raise funds for those affected by the Southern California wildfires. They got the idea while staying with their grandmother, Michelle Herczog, after school was canceled due to the fires.

They set up their stand in front of the house and were amazed by the support they received.

“For a 50-cent cup of lemonade, people were giving us $10 and $20,” Michelle said. “People would tell us they just wanted to help and handed over $20, saying, ‘Keep the change.’”

Many donors shared stories of how they knew someone affected and appreciated what Chelsea and Kevin were doing. By the end of the day, they raised $200!

The next day, they proudly donated their lemonade earnings to RedCrossLA's local chapter office in Santa Monica.

It’s donors like Chelsea and Kevin — and avid lemonade drinkers — who make our mission possible! 🥹
