Hot Honey Harissa Turkey wings 🦃

If you’re looking for a more casual thanksgiving meal or just want to try more dishes with turkey this is for you!

You can also ask your butcher to break down the wings for you, if this looks a little too barbaric for you.

2 Turkey wings broken down into wing tip, drum, and flat
1 orange sliced
1 blood orange sliced
1 small yellow onion sliced
1 shallot sliced
3/4 C white wine

1 stick of butter softened
1 Tbsp harissa
1 Tbsp hot honey
2 tsp orange zest
1 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp cayenne
Pinch of salt
2 cloves garlic minced

Season wings with salt, pepper, paprika, and coriander
Serve with roasted vegetables, potatoes

Preheat oven to 350F
Break down wings into wing tip, drum, and flat. Pat dry with paper towels. Season wings with salt, pepper, paprika. Mix together ingredients with softened butter. I melted it in the microwave for 10 seconds until it was in a paste form. If it gets too melted pop it into the freezer or fridge to firm pack up

On a sheet pan lined with parchment paper layer oranges, shallots and onion. Place wings on top of oranges. Lather on the softened butter mixture. Add extra roasting vegetables. Place into the oven and cook at 350F for 20 minutes. Take the pan out and add 3/4 C white wine to the base of the pan. Place back inside the oven, raise temperature to 425F and continue bake for an additional 20 minutes or until internal temp reads 165F.

Serve and pour any pan drippings over the wings.

Enjoy!
