You should have a radio in your emergency kit. And not just for nostalgia's sake. 📻

Radio communication was the only way these Red Crossers could call for support after Hurricane Cecilia in 1970. They'd use the radio to order food and shelter supplies out of the local high school in Portland, Texas.

Even today, it's important to keep a radio to help you stay up to date on weather alerts in case you lose power.
