This is what it looks like to show up for your community. 👏🏾

Dionté Bryant was introduced to a life of service at a young age. Growing up, he often took care of his younger siblings while his mother served in the Navy and his father in the Army. The responsibility and values he gained during his formative years are what led him to the Red Cross.

After graduating as a first-generation college student, Dionté began his journey to a meaningful career. He first worked as a fire inspector and eventually found himself involved with the AmeriCorps Vista Program with the Red Cross. That's when he fell in love with the mission, helping youth going through transition periods in their careers.

Today, Dionté serves as a Business Operations Specialist for RedCrossLA, and he never misses an opportunity to serve others. From participating in local Sound the Alarm efforts to deploying to national disasters, Dionté is improving his skillset while making a positive impact.

"When you talk about service, the first part is showing up," Dionté said. "Show up for others who you do not know because you want to help support and get them what they need. I think that’s amazing."
