## Caption

#JohanDeckmann is a Danish artist and psychotherapist whose conceptual works challenge the way we perceive identity, emotion, and modern life. Best known for his fictional book covers painted on canvas, Deckmann creates imagined self-help titles that cut sharply through social norms, insecurities, and existential dilemmas with dark humor and raw honesty. Each piece functions like a psychological mirror — titles such as “How to Avoid Everything and Still Get Nothing Done” or “The Art of Making the Same Mistake Twice” strike a delicate balance between absurdity and truth.

His background in psychology deeply informs his practice, turning visual art into a kind of therapy session — blunt, reflective, and often painfully relatable. In a world overwhelmed by advice culture, #JohanDeckmann strips it bare, leaving us with distilled insights wrapped in wit and vintage typography. His works are collected globally and resonate with those drawn to introspection, irony, and the contradictions of being human.
