## Caption

Tania Marmolejo in detail | Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic (1975), Marmolejo is influenced by her Scandinavian and Caribbean heritage. Tania Marmolejo has been exploring large-scale paintings of ambiguous female expressions by juxtaposing the intimate and personal with the monumental. By depicting emotions through physical expression she produces a powerful empathic reaction in the viewer.
