Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to photograph this outfit for persimmonhillstore while I was in Oklahoma for The Western Heritage Awards with nationalcowboymuseum 👏🏼

I want to reflect for a moment on how this relationship even started and why I was invited to attend The Western Heritage awards last weekend.

There was a girl who followed me on social media, one day, she responded to my stories and I responded back. She responded again introducing, this time, who she was, letting me know she was the social media manager at the time for persimmonhillstore / nationalcowboymuseum and they wanted to work with some influencers on content. She thought I’d be a good fit and eventually we got to chat on the phone, email back and forth, and made a collaboration happen. They enjoyed my content and mentioned the possibility of me coming out to attend one of their award shows in the future.

Fast forward, that gal has moved onto another job and another member of the social media management team reached out to invite me to the awards ceremony this past weekend.
All of that story to say, one, you never know who is watching your content. Watching to see how you product yourself online, watching for the quality of the content you produce and dreams of what you want to do in life.
Secondly, why responding to those who are in your comments and DM’s is important. You never know where that conversation will lead. It could lead to a job, or it could lead to a friendship. It could honestly lead to both. Which is what happened in my case here. It was a full circle moment and for that I am so grateful. 🥹

Hope that little story will inspire you to be kind and professional in your digital world, you never know who is watching and what could come of it ❤️

I will link this outfit on my stories persimmonhillstore

Swipe to the end to see some BTS before that Oklahoma wind blows down my phone 😆
