Things I’ve written down about Texas since visiting there so often. 

•everyone who lives in Texas will warn you about how hot it is here. They forget to tell you how cold their house is though. Bring your winter coat. The devil works hard but Texas AC units work harder. 
•Driving in Texas is the worst. I have many things to say about this. First, there is no thing as just letting off the gas pedal to slow down. It’s gas or breaks. No in between. Doesn’t matter if you speed, I don’t believe there are actual cops in Texas patrolling. You really have to read all the street signs to figure out which exit to take, google maps is no help whatsoever with any warning that the next exit is your exit! 
•There are flying bugs in March in Texas. I forgot that bugs exist I’ve been stuck in winter for so long here in Idaho. 
•I hope you like Dr. pepper, because mtn dew is almost non existent at all restaurants. 
•I thought it was normal to wear a cowboy hat in Texas. Well the Dallas airport has confirmed the opposite. You will be the only one with a cowboy hat on. And if you have two on, just look at the ground as you walk, don’t make eye contact with anyone. 
•lastly, I do love Texas, y’all just have your little quirks that make you, you. 🫶🏼🥰😂
