Tips on how to contact an influencer to work with them! 

If you are new to hiring your first influencer for your business here are some tips for reaching out!! 

• Find out how they want to be contacted. Do they have an email listed in their bio or website? Or do they say they wanted to be reached out by direct messaging? 

•If they prefer being reached by email, in the subject line write out your “business X ‘influencer’” 
So an example would be “Wild Plains x Marijka collaboration” 

•Start the email with an introduction of who you are, state your name (always so nice to know the name behind the business) and give information of your business, what, who and why? 

•Next, state what you want to collaborate with the influencer, ask for their media kit or ask what they offer to businesses. Do you want to send them something to model and post? Do you want to send them some items to create a reel for you? Do you want them to post for you or do you just need content created for you to post on your page? Let them know if you have a marketing budget for working with them or if you are looking to trade products for posts. End your email with a thank you and wait for a response. 

•If you do not receive a response from said influencer, DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED. Sometimes influencers take a week (or month) or two to even look at emails or catch up. (Maybe that’s just me) If it has been a week, send a follow up email, that will bump the email to the top of the list. I even appreciate a DM saying ‘hey I emailed you, it’s coming from abcdedf@xmail, please let me know you received it.’ 
A lot of influencers are a one person show, so give them a little grace. 😅
