The Men’s 1500m start list at the 2023 Bislett Games for tomorrow night in Oslo 🇳🇴 is absolutely nutty with 7 of the top 8 finishers at last year’s World Championships lining up for the fifth stop of the Diamond League Tour 💎 

Jakob Ingebrigtsen 🇳🇴 returns to his home turf at the Bislett Games as a heavy favorite for glory once again. The last time Ingebrigtsen lost a Diamond League race was all the way back in 2021 at the Zurich Final, where he was out-leaned by 2019 1500m World Champion, Timothy Cheruiyot 🇰🇪 

All the big guns of the 1500m (with the exception of Jake Wightman) are making their way towards Jakob’s homeland, where their sights are set on spoiling the party for Ingebrigtsen. 

The field includes both the silver and bronze medalists at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Timothy Cheruiyot 🇰🇪 (3:28.28) & Josh Kerr 🇬🇧 (3:29.05) and also features Yared Nuguse 🇺🇸 (3:33.02), Mohamed Katir 🇪🇸 (3:28.76), Abel Kipsang 🇰🇪 (3:29.56), Oliver Hoare 🇦🇺 (3:30.12), Mario Garcia 🇪🇸 (3:30.20), Neil Gourley 🇬🇧 (3:32.93), Teddese Lemi 🇪🇹 (3:31.90), Filip Ingebrigtsen 🇳🇴 (3:30.01), Azeddine Habz 🇫🇷 (3:31.74), Narve Gilje Nordås 🇳🇴 (3:32.39), Charles Grethen 🇱🇺 (3:32.86) and Andreas Almgren 🇸🇪 (3:36.52). 

Jakob Ingebrigtsen 🇳🇴 will look to lower his European record of 3.28.32 from 2021 and push for a sub-3:28 performance according to Norwegian Media. 

The sub-3:28 club is as exclusive as it gets, with only 5 members, with performances from 1995-2015.
