Children’s Medical Center Plano is more than DOUBLING in size, going from over 300,000 square feet to 700,000 square feet! #ad @childrens

Opening in December 2024, this expansion helps provide world-class, critical and highly
specialized care in our own backyards! How lucky are we to have such an incredible resource so close to home (though I pray none of us will ever need to visit!)?

The expansion allows the hospital the ability to help even more children in need as North Texas continues to grow. There will be about 3x the in patient beds, and almost double the total emergency department rooms.

Designed with Kids (and Texas) in Mind:
• each floor has a different theme for a different region of Texas like the hill country and lakes
• over 800 pieces of art were added throughout the expansion, most of which are from local Texas artists

In Patient Rooms
• two large TVs for entertainment & a touchscreen for real-time schedule and care updates
• patient tablet that includes games and entertainment
• sleeper sofas that fit two adults & recliners

In Patient Offerings
• new spacious lounges with computers, laundry services, refreshments
• outdoor terraces

As a new mom, I am so grateful to have such a renowned resource just 10 minutes away from my home. I cannot imagine what it feels like and what it would be like to have a child who needs the care of Children’s Health, but am thankful that Children’s Medical Center of Plano provides an environment of health and tranquility while providing exceptional care for patients, families and team members throughout our Dallas-Fort Worth community.
