🍿🎬POV: the Oscars are this weekend and you’re the kind of friend who always shows up prepared, just like our @cooker.girl🍪 While everyone else is arguing about predictions and best dressed, you pull out a tray of warm chocolate chip cookies with melty dark chocolate and flaky salt. Suddenly the watch party gets very quiet… except for the sound of cookies disappearing. Because if it’s Oscars night, snacks need to be award-worthy too. ✨🏆🍪 Ingredients 1 cup + 1 tablespoon + 2 teaspoons butter (250 g) 2 whole eggs + 1 egg yolk 3/4 cup light brown sugar (150 g) 2/3 cup white sugar (130 g) 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 pinch ground coffee 3 1/3 cups all-purpose flour (400 g) 2 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon cornstarch (20 g) Flaky salt, to taste 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped (175 g) Instructions In a large bowl, cream together the butter, light brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and the egg yolk, then mix in the vanilla extract and a pinch of ground coffee. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Fold in the dark chocolate. Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before baking. Shape the dough into balls, top with extra chocolate if desired, and add a little flaky salt. Bake until the edges are golden and the centers are still soft. Tip: The dough can be prepared up to 2 days in advance and kept in the refrigerator. After chilling, shape the dough balls, top them with chocolate, and freeze for up to 1 month. #OscarsNight #WatchParty #POV #Cookies #giallolovesitaly
