Have you ever dreamed about petting and feeding a giraffe right from your room?! 🦒

📍Oak Meadow Ranch

Just north of Dallas you can live your wildest safari dreams at this, not only fun but educational, ranch! We chose to stay in one of their Airbnbs which gave us an upfront and center view of Puzzles the giraffe! 🦒

We also booked their animal experience and dinner! Kristen one of the ranch’s owners introduced herself before the tour and explain the ranch’s efforts for conservation. I was happy to learn that Oak Meadow Ranch does not take animals from the wild nor do they alter the animals in anyway with things like declawing or defanging. 💖

Some of the animals we met during our tour included lemurs, kangaroos, otters, exotic cats and more! 🦥🦊 we were guided by multiple staff the whole time to make sure that not only we were safe but also the animals were safe! They did a great job explaining rules and even with kids in our group we had no issues at all!

After the animal tour we headed to dinner on their on-site steakhouse where we were treated to amazing live music and a seasonal five course meal! Remember - the meal was seasonal so what I had may not be what you have! They can also cater to vegan, vegetarians, and gluten free friends!

Here’s what I had:
🥖Baguette with Goat Cheese, Bacon, & Hot Honey
🧀Mac & Cheese Soup
🥃Shot Of Whiskey Palette Cleanser (non-alcoholic version also available!)
🥩Filet Mignon w/ Root Veggies
🍑Peaches & Cream

After dinner we all settled by the fire to toast s’mores and reflect on our amazing time. Something I really want to address is how amazing the entire Oak Meadow Ranch team was, the service we experienced there was out of this world! We felt so cozy the whole time there, it was like being with friends! 🫶🔥🏕️

Thank you @oakmeadowranch_texas and @kristinnavarro_texas for such an amazing time as well as @hanz.banz and @marlee.josephine for being such great animal care takers!
