Today, our global community came together at the second installment of our Virtual Experience Series 2023 to enhance our skills, share perspectives, and discuss the future of project management. But we went beyond the surface, learning how to embrace uncertainty, discomfort, and emerging technology to create significant impact on our careers. 

Here are the highlights:

Chaos creates opportunity. Innovation is different for each of us, said innovation expert jeremygutsche, but we all have the ability to reach the next level of our potential. His advice? Your next level is within your grasp and can be found at the intersection of hard work and overlooked opportunity. Don’t let past decisions affect future choices. 

Artificial intelligence in project management is here to stay. AI is not a technology to solve all problems, said Terence Tse, it is a tool, and the power of AI lies in the people who know how to use it responsibly. Our panelists agreed that the opportunity for AI on projects is endless and those who embrace it will have the ability to redefine how work gets done. 

Leadership happens at all levels, and we all have the power to build an inclusive culture. “Diversity, equity, and inclusion is fundamental to a leader’s ability to lead today and in the future,” said book club speaker, jenniferbrownspeaks. If you’re not uncomfortable, you’re not leading.
