If your sugar isn’t labeled as ‘cane sugar’ and you’re in Europe or North America, it’s very likely made from sugar beets—not the classic red beetroot you see in the video. But you can still use beetroot to make a natural sweetener that’s a great alternative to refined sugar! Beet Syrup Ingredients: * 5–6 medium beets * Water (just enough to cover) Instructions: 1. Peel and dice the beets. 2. Add them to a pan and pour in just enough water to cover. 3. Boil for 20 minutes. 4. Blend and strain the mixture. 5. Simmer the juice until it reduces to a syrupy consistency. 6. If you’d like a sweeter flavor, add some maple syrup or agave. 7. Store in the fridge for 4–5 days. Great for cakes ,pancake ,salad dressing ,yoghurt, cocktails & smoothies Beet Energy Balls🍡 (Makes ~12 balls) Ingredients (for the pink filling): * 1 cup beetroot pulp (150g) * 8 pitted dates (soaked in almond milk overnight or boiled for 5 minutes) * ½ cup almond flour (50g) * 3 tbsp shredded coconut * 1–2 tbsp peanut butter * 1 tsp vanilla extract * Pinch of salt Extra: Shredded coconut for coating Instructions: 1. Blend all the ingredients until creamy and well combined. 2. Roll the mixture into small balls. 3. Coat each ball in shredded coconut. 4. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. #beetroot #natural #sweetener #EasyRecipe #healthyrecipes #zerowaste #fyp
